This is a box side to IDPA requirements for the BUG (Back-up Gun) division. For a gun to be legal for the BUG division, the gun with the largest magazine (to be used in the competition) must fit in the box, and a straight edge must be able to pass along the top surface without lifting. IDPA sells metal boxes for this purpose. Print your own and save some money. But remember that the plastic isn't as strong or springy as the metal boxes, so don't abuse it. The size for the box is based on the size listed in the IDPA rulebook current as of February 2022 when this was created.
