Idler Pulley for 625 Bearing

Idler Pulley for 625 Bearing

Create an idler pulley using a 625 bearing with this plastic wrapper guide. The 625 bearing is more compatible in size compared to the usual 608 bearing used in Repraps due to its similarity in diameter to the drive pulley. This guide features an inner lip at the bottom that ensures proper centering of the belt beneath it. I printed this with a 25% fill and 2 perimeters; however, if your printer experiences issues printing the upper lip, you may adjust the topangle variable. The file is designed for a 6mm belt, but you can increase the beltwidth variable if your belt is wider. When printing, be cautious of ABS problems at high speeds and set your extruder temperature as low as possible. If the upper lip curls upwards, add cooling during the initial layers with a fan set on low speed. Additionally, if your printer vibrates excessively, reduce the printing speed for better accuracy. The 625 bearing is tightly fitted, so clean any imperfections with an x-acto knife to facilitate insertion.
