In the Rostock delta printer, a top bracket holds key components like 8mm smooth rods, two ball bearings, a micro switch (endstop), and a plywood board. Updated OpenSCAD files can be found at https://github.com/jcrocholl/rostock. Install three of these brackets on a plywood board at 120-degree angles, as per RostockBaseDims.pdf by Modpod (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24973) or the drill jig (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:25000). The plywood holes are compatible with #11 wood screws or M4 screws, no nuts required. Secure smooth rods with 16mm M3 screws and stainless steel fasteners. A 30mm M8 socket screw holds two 608 bearings (skateboard bearings), followed by two M8 washers, the printed part, another washer, and a M8 hex nut. The design ensures a 2-degree upward tilt for the M8 screw, preventing belt slippage. Flanged 608 bearings (http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/PROD/F608ZZ) are recommended for improved fit. Mount the micro switch, a ZM series with 9.5mm center distance between screws, which can be directly secured without nuts using M2.5x12 screws or similar.
