By now you know the ROOT range of CNC's limitations, but for those struggling with sausage finger syndrome, dealing with the idler box mounting, positioning and securing can be a daunting task. I too face this challenge, and after experimenting with different solutions, I came up with an innovative approach to overcome it. The idea is to create a larger base plate that houses the idler box, allowing for easier drilling and securing with larger nuts and bolts. This design still provides access to the underside of the box for cabling and other essential connections. To build this solution, you'll need standard M3/4/5 bolts from the ROOT kit, along with a few washers, nuts, and bolts. With these simple components, you can easily complete the project. This adaptation aims to help those who face difficulties with the original design, making it more accessible and user-friendly for everyone involved.
