A simpler and more secure method exists for pulling back the idler bar springs - it keeps hands farther away from the drive gear, but you should probably avoid adjusting the idler bar springs while gears are actively turning. This tool is designed for use on extruders equipped with idler bar spring assemblies that adjust filament feed tension. It prints upright without support; currently used in conjunction with a Fusion3 F306 3D printer to speed up filament type/color changes.
