The original hinge for the Ideal Standard Space Toilet Seat was crafted from stainless steel, yet it still managed to corrode and shatter. With a replacement hinge set costing approximately £40 at the time of writing, I decided to design and 3D print a sturdy alternative. Reusing all other components from the original hinge set, I printed using 100% infill for added strength, with the curved section oriented at an 180-degree rotation on the x-axis compared to the image above.
