ID card holder
thingiverse
The small clip on my ID card holder snapped off. Instead of ordering a replacement, I decided to create a tiny cap for it just for fun. This approach probably takes about the same amount of time as waiting for a new one, but it's definitely more enjoyable. I printed the little hat out using PLA at 80% infill and a layer height of 0.2mm. Then, I glued the two parts together with JB-Weld original epoxy resin. The lid also got some extra glue to secure it firmly in place. My specific ID card holder has two small holes drilled into it. The design features two little tabs that fit through these holes for precise location. If you want to modify this project, I've included the Fusion360 file (.f3d) for your convenience.
