What is an IcosaLEDron? It's a programmable, rechargeable 20-sided "ball" featuring three-color LED lighting on each face. Inside this marvel lies a custom printed circuit board (PCB) loaded with the powerful Atmega328p microcontroller and its Arduino compatibility ensures easy programming of unique effects. Surrounding it are twenty strategically placed WS2812B LEDs - also known as Neopixels - positioned perfectly around the ball's surface, alongside a three-axis accelerometer that takes center stage in the IcosaLEDron's spherical design for creating captivating light displays based on applied accelerations to the ball. With the IcosaLEDron, our mission is to inspire makers and programmers worldwide to design, build, and share their very own custom codes, ultimately fostering a vibrant community of satisfied owners. To embark on this adventure, we invite you to visit our Instructables tutorial for comprehensive information: http://www.instructables.com/id/IcosaLEDron-A-Multi-LED-Smart-Ball/ **Assembly Instructions** We have carefully prepared printable files for producing the rigid plastic parts using ABS or PLA materials and the soft outer shell made from NinjaFlex Water semi-transparent thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) filament. Each component can be easily printed flat-side down without supports, except for possibly some issues with using NinjaFlex on certain printers - we have actually explored alternative solutions involving casting the piece in clear rubber.
