Icosahedron (Hollow)
thingiverse
I designed a hollow icosahedron that's a real showstopper. I came across a similar design online, but I decided to share my own take on it because mine has a sleeker profile than the one I found. A friend asked me to create an Odesza symbol for them, and this project was born. The good news is that I was able to print it successfully without using any raft or supports with PLA filament. In fact, the wood PLA version turned out particularly well. However, when I tried printing the icosahedron with PETG, the overhangs didn't quite turn out as expected. To improve this, I'm thinking of reducing the nozzle temperature to its lowest possible setting, given all the overhangs involved.
