Icosahedron / Dodecahedron ball, 300mm

myminifactory

A dodecahedron is the dual of an icosahedron, each vertex matched by an edge in reverse. To create this 300mm diameter sphere, print thirty icosahedron struts and twelve dodecahedron panels, either circular or pentagonal in shape. The pentagons will enhance rollability while also speeding up the printing process. Attach the printed struts together into an icosahedron using zip-ties in provided holes, then secure the full sphere with twelve 25mm flat head M3 screws or one and a quarter inch #6 wood screws to attach the dodecahedron panels. This requires twelve zip ties and sixty screws in total. Remove tiny built-in supports printed within with a hobby knife after completion.
