Icom Ic-7000 rails
thingiverse
This is a pair of rails that can be attached to the Icom IC-7000 radio to protect its front and back when operating portable. They are mounted to the radio using the same holes and screws used for the mobile base. Each rail measures 236 mm in length, so they might not fit on every printer and may need to be cut in two to print flat. Printing them should be straightforward, and a 30-50% infill will suffice for standard use. A friend helped me by cutting out versions made from 4mm aluminum using an industrial cutter, giving you an idea of what they look like attached to my 7000 as seen in the photo. The design can be easily modified to suit different radios or other needs. 7/8/2020 I added step and obj files for those who need them
