Available sizes Small – 1:24 of the actual size | Normal, Hollow & Pre-supported versions ( With and Without Rod ) Description Ichthyosaurus communis was a relatively small species, measuring around 2 to 4 meters in length. It had a streamlined body shape, a long snout, and a large eye socket, indicating its adaptation for hunting in the open ocean. Its limbs were modified into paddle-like structures, which allowed for efficient swimming. Like other ichthyosaurs, Ichthyosaurus communis was a highly specialized marine predator. It possessed sharp teeth designed for grasping and catching slippery prey such as fish, squid, and other marine invertebrates. It likely used its streamlined body and powerful tail to propel itself through the water, relying on its excellent swimming abilities to chase and capture its prey.
