Animated 3D course map for (probably) the 2019 course for the Iceman Cometh Challenge (red) with 2018 course differences in blue. The “Iceman” is a huge (over 5,000 finishers) mountain bike race of ~32 miles that is held on the first Saturday in November from Kalkaska to Traversity in Michigan (USA). The vertical exagerationfor the model is 50x (that’s a lot!). DISCLAIMER: The start and finish areas are based on public information provided by the race organizers and the rest is based on a couple of 2019 preride outings by people who may or may not have followed (what will be) the actual course and the tracks of a couple of riders that finished the 2018 race. In other words, please don’t confuse this for anything official.
