Ice Pack Freezing Stand
thingiverse
This is a custom ice pack holder for your freezer. It's engineered to keep "slim" lunch box ice packs separate so more surface area can be exposed to air, freezing them faster than when stacked together in a big pile. Each separating ring is 5mm thick. The stand easily holds 8 ice packs and can even support 9, but it gets a bit wobbly at that number. Take a look at the photos showing how the gap is created without any touching all the way down.\r\n\r\nStack the separator rings with an ice pack in between each one: start with a ring at the bottom, then add an ice pack, followed by another ring, and so on.\r\n\r\nThis design was specifically made for these ice packs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003FO2B5U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1\r\n\r\nI'm a homebrewer who needs to freeze 8 ice packs at a time, so I designed this holder. It seems to make a difference.\r\n\r\n===========================\r\n\r\nIf you prefer a horizontal setup in your freezer, check out the first version of my design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2613017\r\n\r\nAfter creating the original horizontal version, I realized that having ice packs stacked vertically improved airflow in my freezer and led me to create this stand.
