I'm fed up with my ice maker overflowing, and I know I'm not alone - I've seen this issue on numerous models. Determined to find a solution, I started researching new ice makers that could replace mine. Unfortunately, none are available for my specific model. So, I took matters into my own hands. I secured the ice maker in place using zip ties and now I'm putting it to the test by storing it in the freezer. To improve airflow, I had to drill additional holes closer to the arm - modifications are already underway. While the issue persists, at least the overflowing has stopped. Next, I plan to try modifying the ice maker with a hole drilled through it, hoping this will resolve the problem of it hanging up on random items.
