Ice Houses: Pre-Refrigerator Cooling Solution Prior to the invention of refrigerators, ice houses served as cold storage facilities. Common designs involved excavated underground chambers near freshwater lakes and rivers where natural winter ice accumulated. In the winter, harvested ice and snow were brought into these ice houses and packed with insulation materials such as straw or sawdust to maintain frozen temperatures for several months, often until the following winter. The stored ice provided a cool source of water throughout summer months, making it ideal for cooling beverages, serving ice cream and sorbet, and creating frozen desserts. Key Model Features: The Ice House model consists of 3,202 low-poly game-ready polygons made up entirely of three and four-pointed shapes, allowing seamless integration with existing software environments. It includes a fully-automated door function that can be interpreted as separate entities: the front door, walls, roof, and other structural components. A large interior space is included, which can be viewed by opening the door. Product Textures: UV mapping technology has been incorporated into the model for precise texture control. Two texture sets are provided: one set of stone and roofing textures with corresponding bump maps. These textures support wide-range use in various software environments that accept fbx files.
