I would recommend placing it in till very slightly past the edge on the top of the sized hole, then cut off the excess at the bottom. tightening the tube will space apart the washer from the bolt head to let the knob freely rotate. Other diameter of the nut is 7/16 inch that inserts into the handle. The peg is separate so that it can be replaced and printed with a higher infill.
