Ice-cream maker repair stripped paddle connection
thingiverse
IMPORTANT: My replacement part does not extend down into the container that holds the ice-cream mixture on the machine I was repairing. You should check to be sure that it does not extend into the ice-cream mixture for your machine. Unless your PLA is certified as food grade quality, I would not allow it to come into contact with anything that you are going to eat. This is a replacement part for the paddle that stirs the mixture in an electric ice-cream churn. The paddle has a square female connection that fits on the male drive shaft of the electric motor. The paddle I was repairing had an open square shaft down the long axis. I cut off roughly 10 mm from the top of the paddle (the square socket that had been striped) and fitted the square (polyhedral) shaft into the opening in the paddle. If you can not look into your paddle and see that the square hole does not extend down most of the vertical axis then this model will need to be modified.
