This bison metatarsal was digitally mapped with a NextEngine Desktop 3D scanner at the Valley of the Mastodons workshop and conference, hosted by the Western Science Center in August 2017. The metacarpal was briefly relocated from its display case, which features the fossilized remains of a mastodon named Lil' Stevie, before being carefully returned to its original position. A special thank you is owed to the Western Science Center for their cooperation.
