The Taxicab is built on the basis of SBB Eurocity (www.thingiverse.com/thing:3218400) and uses many parts from this model. New are the control unit and the end of the car. Together with the locomotive Re 4/4 SBB (www.thingiverse.com/thing:2776381), a current composition of the Swiss Federal Railways SBB can be assembled. The car has eight compartments in the original. With scale-reduced length (84 cm) only large curve radii can be driven. The model shown here has only five compartments built, resulting in a model length of 59cm, which allows curves with radius R1 to be driven. Since the parts are designed modularly (basis = one compartment), further units can certainly be added up to scale-reduced length. The print templates are relatively small-grained (kit system) and must be assembled with an appropriate adhesive. I have printed the parts in ABS and glued them together with dissolved ABS in acetone. I have practically all parts printed at a resolution of 0.25mm without support. For assembly, see also the 3D views in SBB Eurocity (No. 3218400, see above). The number of parts to be printed must be taken from the attached 3D views (PDF files) of the individual modules. The model shown here weighs about 1,250g in its reduced version. From this, the necessary printing time can be calculated (about 40 hours). The axles are lubricated with ball bearings (e.g. Conrad Bestell-Nr.: 221987 - 62).
