IBOT - The Simple Model Kit

IBOT is a simple robot model kit that utilizes basic geometry and friction fit single axis joints. It's an ideal desk toy or shelf ornament, and can also be used as a stash box for bits & bobs, or even as a night light when combined with an LED. To complete the assembly, superglue is required for the pelvis, and a smooth finish is achieved by lightly sanding the arm/leg pegs. The open source community is encouraged to take IBOT to new heights, showcasing their creativity by adding unique paints, finishes, and exotic materials to make it truly one-of-a-kind. As a work in progress, I plan to continuously improve IBOT's design over time, incorporating features such as improved articulation, accessories, and interchangeable components.
