IBC tote to garden hose adapter
thingiverse
I recently built a 325-gallon watering system for deer right in front of my game camera. This adapter is specifically designed for the IBC tote I have, but I'd be willing to adapt it for others if they provide me with their specific specifications - TPI and diameter details are essential. Just send me a message here, and I'll upload the plans as soon as I can. This setup worked flawlessly for me, allowing me to connect my garden hose and create a watering system. The same principle could be applied to rain collection or any other project that uses an IBC tote. When keeping costs low, you can easily use a cut piece of garden hose with adapted ends. To withstand UV exposure, I printed the adapter in ABS plastic. So far, it's performed well for the past six months. Since this was a gravity-fed system, no rubber grommet was required - water tightness was built-in from the start. According to my memory (sorry, it's been six months), the dimensions of this adapter were around 82 or 83mm, with a tolerance of about 1mm for easy screw-on installation. Despite the large tolerance, the connection remained watertight. During printing, I experienced some minor stringing issues without proper support, but overall, the results were satisfactory.
