IBC coupler for female threaded connection with sealing. The coupler fits snugly into the transition piece when tightened. However, I recommend additional sealing on the mating surface (not always perfectly flat). I suggest Loctite Quick Gasket, but any silicone sealant can be used. In cases of potable water supply, silicone seals are available.
