i3v anti z wobble and backlash mount Remix for easier printing & variable configurations
thingiverse
This remix does the following modifications. To make it printable without support (used 45-degree incline) Made it 1mm wider for nut hole vertex not hitting inside edge Parametric openscad file varies dimensions for spring & T-nut mounting height. You can print this without the spring to just give you more x-travel distance options STL files attached show various choices. The openscad file has variables to change, such as: Originally 2.5mm without 45 taper (Tnut Height) Now set at 1.6mm for Rev4 version I used 1.3mm on first version, but was too tight Test the fit on your machine with Z-Axis_AntiBackLashMod_2x_NoSpring_1Nut_1_6mmTnutHt_rev4_repaired.stl Printing two parts at a time gives better results as it lets material dry longer between heights The "Tht" variable needs adjustment for desired fit A 38mm spring at Lowes might work for this design, so I added the variable to accommodate. This printer modification doesn't require the spring; just giving extra X-travel distance Update: Rev4 revised on June 8, 2015 Noted issues: Didn't fit around outside ledge with previous modification; adjusted height for slip-fit installation and modified edge with dremel The version previously used needed some filing to fit
