I obtained a pair of TR8*4 leadscrews from RobotDigg along with the anti-backlash nut which demands considerable adjustments to my Prusa i3's X-ends, therefore I am creating them myself. Linear Stepper Nema17 with 300mm Tr8*4 Leadscrew http://www.robotdigg.com/product/557 Anti-backlash Nut for Tr8*4 Lead Screw http://www.robotdigg.com/product/344 I have designed the X-ends to accommodate a captive LM8LUU bearing (8x15x45mm), secured by M3 screws at the top and bottom. Considering that the anti-backlash nut's diameter is fairly substantial, this necessitates that I space out the distance between the smooth rod and the threaded rod to 26 mm (as opposed to 20). Furthermore, I will be designing altered motor mounts for the Z axis, taking into account this significant consideration. work in progress Update 1: Printed out X motor end, it fits well around the bearing and 8mm nut – but I was required to revise the motor part slightly thicker. Additionally, I made the belt pathway broader, reaching up to 10mm wide so it can efficiently handle a 9mm-wide belt.
