There are six metal plates on the machine, two per plate. The longer ones fit snugly under the center plate below the Z-axis motors. They securely grip the bottom of the metal plate and effectively minimize noise if your printer is placed on a resonant surface. Experiment with varying infill percentages (starting with lower values) to see how it impacts sound dampening performance. If you discover alternative settings, such as higher or lower infill, that produce better results, I'd appreciate hearing about them!
