The new design posed unexpected challenges due to the reduced size of the Jhead hotend. One notable issue was the x-carriage distance to the glass, a mere 9 mm, which caused the x-carriage to catch the bulldog clips on both sides of the heated bed during long prints. The solution was simple: install smaller clips on the sides. Another problem arose from the Z-Axis Endstop, which required adjustment in some cases. Fortunately, I was using an Adjustable Z-Axis Micro Endstop that could be attached to the smooth rod, allowing me to simply slide it down for a better fit. Before installing this compact extruder, make sure your Z-Axis Endstop can be lowered sufficiently to accommodate its reduced size.
