This project aimed to create end links for uxcell R18 10mm x 15mm cable chain links, readily available on Amazon, and enable a straightforward method to connect them to a standard Wanhao i3 plus printer using existing mounting points. The only required additional items were M3x8 bolts and M3 nuts - I used ten of each in total. This allowed me to tidy up the ribbon cable and create an easy pathway for the Bltouch that I added. The HOTEND part uses the same screws that secure the top x-axis bearing block - simply unscrew them, place the link end forward, then reassemble using the same screws. The JOINT attaches via the four open screw points on the Z-axis support, requiring only four M3x8 screws. The BRACKET utilizes the two open holes opposite from the z-axis stop on the tower. Insert two M3x8 bolts with M3 nuts - it's designed to avoid obstructing Z-axis travel. You may need to adjust the cable chain ends' orientation to achieve the correct flex - they attach to the links using M3x8 screws and nuts. [UPDATE - June 3, 2019] I built the exceptional X/Z axis rebuild for the i3 Plus (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3165345) and created a custom chain management plate that combines the JOINT plate here with the one included in that build. [UPDATE - June 18, 2019] I added a revised tower bracket to address binding at extreme z-axis heights caused by orientation issues.
