i3 Build Plates, with Upgrades

pinshape

These are build plates for a single sheet style Prusa i3 that incorporates numerous upgrades from Thingiverse. Upgrades include modifications listed on my blog as well as the ancestors of this design. Two sets of Z couplers are included, resulting from an initial oversight where the z-rods on the i3 were determined to be M5 instead of the initially used M8 (Applerust's) ones. The plate labeled Plate 4 features printed LM8UU bushings; do not print this if regular LM8UU's will be used. If printed, spares should be available for an extended period. This design incorporates two 3mm bowden extruders and a dual hotend mount. Normally, source files would be uploaded, but rendering problems in OpenSCAD required half of the design to be created in TinkerCAD instead. UPDATE: A missing component was discovered - i3 Z rod stabilizers by Bernardo Baptista (Thingiverse user bernabap). The updated version is available here and on my blog, with apologies to Bernardo! UPDATE Aug 13, 2013: Build Plate 1V2 has been added, featuring Jridley's Extra Rigid Y Axis belt clamp with Tensioner. Instructions Print the plates, recommending about 30 to 35% infill or adjust according to preference. The design is optimized for a 200x190 mm bed. Ignore Plate 33 as it was an earlier version of Plate 3. For the 5mm-5mm Z couplers, consider using tubing due to their newly generated dimensions at exactly 5mm and the need for further testing.
