i3 8mm Leadscrew upgrade Z Axis motor mounts for 42mm high motors
thingiverse
Update 8/14/2016 I've decided not to use a top bearing for the leadscrews, so I removed that component to make the upper shaft holders easier to print. The smooth rod hole was widened by .3mm and a strain relief gap was added as in the motor mounts. Additional modifications were made, including adding the missing anti-backlash nut recess on the right X-end piece. The smooth rod holes were also widened by .3 mm. Initial Design I purchased these Z Axis motors with integrated 8mm leadscrews from eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/142038182961. However, the motors are 42mm high compared to the original 47mm motors, so I increased the thickness of the mounts to avoid re-drilling the mounting holes on my frame. Furthermore, the smooth rod hole was slightly small on the original design, so I widened it by .1mm and added an expansion cutout.
