I Think I'm Learning Japanese: Numerals

I Think I'm Learning Japanese: Numerals

thingiverse

This is an innovative project designed to facilitate learning Japanese in a hands-on manner. The concept revolves around leveraging physical sensations to solidify knowledge, as opposed to mere memorization. This is the Kanji representation of numbers one through ten on the front side and Hiragana/Katakana characters on the back for reference. Please consult the notes for detailed printing instructions. The raised edge is intended for memorization purposes, while the flat surface should be easily recognizable. The size and tactile qualities of these tokens also make them ideal for use as fidget toys. This project draws inspiration from Naomi "SexyCyborg" Wu's 'Thieves' Purse', available on Thingiverse (1600732). It can be used to play a game devised by her, which involves: Players must pick the correct coins from a bag without looking, relying solely on the tactile sensation of the characters. The game begins with two tokens and adds more each round. September 24, 2019: 'Juu' coin correction - Characters were previously incorrect.
