i-tec USB 3.0 Metal Charging Hub mount
thingiverse
I wanted to create a mount for my desk that would securely hold a USB hub, but I couldn't find a suitable option within my budget. Therefore, I purchased the i-tec 7 port USB 3.0 Metal Charging Hub and designed a custom mounting system for it. To assemble this project, you will need to print two identical brackets using your Anet A8 printer. Please note that both brackets are essential for the mount's stability and functionality. Printer Settings: - Printer: Anet A8 - Rafts: No - Supports: Yes - Resolution: 0.1 mm - Infill: 20% - Notes: I have not tested printing without support, so it is recommended to use supports for optimal results. Design Process: I created the design using Sketchup and took into account the hub's internal USB cable, which requires a specific mounting configuration. The bracket has an open section that allows for easy access to the soldered USB cable.
