Constructing these I/T beams can be tricky as sometimes lumber is warped a little bit. These jigs can be used to ensure the beams are always in the right place as you construct them. Instructions for using this jig:Fit the boards into the jig on on endSlide the jig down about 8 inchesDrill the first pilot hole using a bit that is the length of the joining screws you have selected (smaller in diameter than the threads)Install the first screwFlip the boards over and repeat steps 3-4Move the jig down 1 foot and repeat steps 3-5Rinse repeat
