I-Beam
thingiverse
To create a custom I-beam for my project, I designed a sketch using SketchUp as my second attempt with CAD software. The beam measures 150 mm in length, 10 mm in height, and 5 mm in width, while its holes have a diameter of 3.0 mm. For printing, I utilized PLA material with a raft to prevent warping. Initially, I attempted an H-shaped design that proved unsuitable for adding holes; thus, I opted for a modified layout requiring fillets at the flange and web intersection points to print without supports. Overall, the process was successful.
With this file you will be able to print I-Beam with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on I-Beam.
