I-401 Submarine
thingiverse
This is the I-401, one of just three Sen-teku I-400 class submarines built for the Japanese Imperial Navy under Hirohito's command. The I-400 sisters were part of a master plan to sail the subs through the Panama Canal and destroy it, severing the US and Europe's easy access from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. There are two bases you can download: base #1 is more elaborate, supported by a single pillar, but requires printing solidly. The submarine model isn't mine; credit goes to SketchUp user The Architect. Supporting them would be great. My bases are for you to print and enjoy. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Highest possible Infill: 60-100% Notes: This setting applies only if printing base #1, as the submarine's weight can break it.
