Hörmann garage door sensor
thingiverse
I'm currently building a home automation system and I needed a way to determine if our garage doors are securely closed. The simplest approach was to connect it to my Shelly1 switch input. Since I'm running Tasmota firmware on Shelly1, the input sends a MQTT message directly to my Home Assistant. I wanted to design a "sensor" that would remain in place and could be installed without disassembling the door assembly. This is my first attempt at designing something like this, and it could likely improve upon itself. Still, it has worked well for over a month now, and I didn't see any need to make changes. Yes, the microswitch may eventually fail after some time. I'm using switches similar to these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000029868541.html (arc lever ones). All files used in designing this are included, feel free to remix them as you see fit.
With this file you will be able to print Hörmann garage door sensor with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Hörmann garage door sensor.
