This is a bracket that serves as a crucial component of the window regulator assembly found in the Hyundai Veracruz. It's likely to fit other models as well due to its universal design. The factory part often proves too thin, causing the cables to pull out and resulting in the window falling into the door. This particular bracket is designed to be significantly stronger, addressing this common issue. To print it effectively, use 100% fill with a higher temperature material like ABS or PETG. Ensure the cable grooves are oriented vertically for optimal strength on the slide clip located on the opposite side. Support will be required during the printing process. After testing an initial version of the model, I discovered a minor flaw that prevents the window from fully descending (it stops about 1cm short). This issue has been resolved in the updated version, but the original design remains available for those who prefer it. If you install the new bracket and experience improved results, please let me know. If this part is damaged, it's likely due to frayed and bent winch cables. Replacing them will be necessary as well. I experimented with two different cable diameters: one obtained from a bicycle shop and another from a local hardware store. The first option was too stiff, causing friction on the inside of the winch housing. The second option, with a diameter of .062, proved more pliable and suitable for the application. When installing new crimp ends on the cable, use a crimping tool if possible. If not, you can solder a lump onto the cable using plumbing solder. To prevent the blob from dripping off, wrap some fine stranded wire around the area where you want it to sit. After the solder cools, file it flat to ensure proper contact with the printed part.
