Hyundai 2012 Imax Iload H7 Bulb Light Adapter Locking Ring
thingiverse
I upgraded my Hyundai main driving lights to high-intensity LED bulbs, and the bulb mounting bracket is an integral part of the plug. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a replacement for this essential component. If you own a 2012 Hyundai iMax or iLoad, I hope this information proves helpful to you. Normally, halogen bulbs are designed to fit directly into the socket that serves as the locking ring. In contrast, LED bulbs have an innovative heat pipe that connects to a fan at the rear for efficient cooling and a dedicated LED driver module with flexible fly leads that connect to the existing bulb holder/locking ring, making it impossible to plug them in directly. The bracket/adapter locking lugs fit neatly into the reflector housing. To ensure a smooth installation, you'll need to file or smooth out the three curved locking lugs so they twist in easily. I simply used an exacto knife/scalpel to scrape them to perfection. Depending on the brand of LED/HID bulb you choose, you may need to adjust the center spacer height or diameter to accommodate your new lighting solution. You might also need to modify the reflector housing to accommodate the wiring or LED driver, ensuring that it remains waterproof and resistant to the elements.
