Hyte Y60 Fan Cover for CPU Power Cable Interference
thingiverse
My friend bought the incredibly popular, and sometimes difficult to find, Hyte Y60 PC case and he mentioned, as have multiple online publications, that the CPU power cable(s) at the top of the motherboard fit so closely with a top mounted fan that, depending on how you run the cable, any bow in the cable can cause it to interfere with the fan blades. Anyone who has had a cable get in the way of a fan blade knows that grinding, chopping sound and the panic that comes with it as you desperately try to shut down the machine before the fan and cable can chew through each other. See the included photos for an example of what this "interference" looks like. A person could go through the trouble of finding and buying high quality, low-profile 120mm fans. Or you could print a solution. I remixed this from a, frankly, great kit of fan grills of all sizes and designs. Mine clearly only serves a specific purpose but if you need full fan coverage, check out the original, "120mm_honeycomb_reduced_fan_cover.stl" from mightynozzle.
