Hypophonia Amplification Device
grabcad
As a Parkinson's disease patient, I suffer from severe hypophonia, making communication difficult in various settings. To address this challenge, I need a personal amplification device that meets specific criteria. The microphone should be highly sensitive and possibly handheld for easy use. An on-off switch on the microphone is preferred. Regular batteries are ideal over rechargeable ones. The speaker must be small with adjustable volume control, suitable for one-on-one conversations and group settings like meetings or lectures. A convenient placement option includes near my mouth, such as on a shirt collar or pocket. Removability to place the speaker on a table during meetings is desirable. Separate, non-bulky components for microphone, speaker, and amplifier are also important. This device will be designed using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2018 software.
