A Simple Cover for EGI Geodesic Sensor Nets with Hypertronics Connector Compatibility Compatibility has been achieved between the simple cover and the NPBY 19 Hypertronics Connector, which is used in conjunction with 128 channel EGI Geodesic Sensor Nets. One of these covers can be kept over the pins of the Net when not actively being used to minimize pin bending. Even though a bent pin may be straightened using gentle force, this doesn't always succeed, so prevention is the preferred solution. Two designs are provided: a basic model and one featuring a flange/lever component for easy removal of the protector. Preference differs by person, but thus far, the flanged version has been more popular, and it is utilized in both Nelson Lab and our remote labs. Creating this design for purchase from a 3D printing service for those lacking 3D printers has currently been placed on hold due to the need for tighter tolerances than what is available at Shapeways, which demands a redesign. The goal is to pick up again but it is not presently a priority. Those with personal printers are urged to print one first and inspect the fit before producing multiple covers for their lab (refer to guidelines). Update 4/19/17: A version suitable for use with 256 channels has been designed, tested, and made available. In addition, branded versions of the flanged protector covers have been uploaded. Individuals are asked to share pictures or results after attempting this project. This object was modeled using FreeCAD software. **Guidelines:** Since the cover utilizes a friction fit, users are recommended to first print one out to verify the size is appropriate. If the printed item fits perfectly on the 3D printer scale from -2% up to +2%, there might not be any modifications necessary. However if there is no adequate fit it will be essential for adjustment of the file. Please remember: the tolerance of your object should correspond with those utilized by Nelson Lab and remote labs where flange models were manufactured
