Hypersonic Scramjet Strategic Bomber Drone

This model represents my vision for the future of Global Warfare Strategy. A long-range hypersonic bomber (conventional and nuclear) is designed to take off as a regular plane, but when it reaches Mach 2 speed, it retracts its wings and tail to adopt a hypersonic configuration. In this mode, it opens the scramjet's larger intake and exhaust, and switches from an ultra-compact next-generation turbine with afterburner to a scramjet engine that shares its intake and exhaust channels. The drone can be refueled at traditional speeds before transitioning to hypersonic speed, allowing it to fly higher and faster than any plane or anti-air artillery. When it enters enemy airspace and approaches its target, the drone dives from the stratosphere using an unpredictable path, then flies at a traditional speed while following an unpredictable trajectory. It drops its deadly cargo (traditional or nuclear bombs) before rapidly accelerating to hypersonic cruise speeds at extremely high altitudes. The drone safely exits enemy airspace, where it can descend and refuel for the return journey home. Mission accomplished!
