Hypersonic Jet

Since the 1950s, a concept has been developed to send a spacecraft near the upper atmosphere's edge, utilizing gravity for most of the propulsion. A jet capable of carrying 50 passengers at supersonic speeds (Mach 15 without sonic booms like Concord's Mach 2) is in the works. This aircraft will be powered by two engines: a SCRAM jet on the underside and conventional rockets at the back. After launch, the rockets propel the jet to a specific velocity before the SCRAM jet activates for hyper-sonic flight. The landing process mirrors that of US space shuttles. Projected to be operational around 2040, this vehicle requires low weight with high strength and heat resistance materials like Carbon nano-tubes. Initially, it may cater to military, space agencies, and wealthy individuals before becoming more accessible. Renderings and CFD data will soon be released.
