After buying our 2000w Brushless Captain electric scooter from [Hyperpower Sports](http://www.hyperpowersports.com/) for a special deal on our Banana Science YouTube channel, we couldn't resist customizing it with some super useful mods. We started by designing an easy-to-install front mud flap to keep water from spraying in your face when driving through puddles. Next, we noticed that the wooden deck edges were getting progressively scratched and damaged after several small scrapes. To fix this, we designed handy TPU deck bumpers that can be easily installed with high-temperature hot glue to keep your deck edges looking nice and clean. Finally, we created small TPU plugs to fill the ventilation holes in the battery compartment bottom to protect your battery from water if you ride through puddles. Note: Only install the TPU plugs if you're using a lithium battery. The lead acid battery version of the scooter needs those holes open for ventilation. The plugs simply press fit into the holes with a lip to keep them in place and are a bit tricky to install, but that way they won't come loose. Don't own a 3D printer? No problem!
