Hyperlow Arm and Motor Protectors for Modular Freestyle
thingiverse
I'm looking for simple yet effective arm and motor protection for my Hyperlow Modular Freestyle with 3mm arms. I'm extremely satisfied with the level of protection they've provided during multiple crashes, which has given me a lot of confidence in their ability to safeguard my gear. When printed with TPU, these parts are flexible enough to allow you to grasp the motor directly, making it easier to work on your printer. Additionally, if you don't compress them too tightly, they can be considered "soft mounts" - as long as you use loctite to keep the screws from backing out. The design is based on a scan I took of an arm, which I then expanded upon to create this protection system. I hope you find it useful! Example: This part was printed using Sainsmart TPU (http://amzn.to/2vXckKd).
