The standard vertical antenna installation on this platform leaves the antenna extremely exposed during crashes. By mounting the antenna between the arms as shown, it becomes virtually impossible to damage stub antennas - unless you break the arms themselves, of course. You can use this SMA mount in any mini-quad frame that features 5mm diameter standoffs, not just the Floss or Foss models.
