Hyperion

Replica of the Intamin mega coaster Hyperion at Energylandia This being the overbanked turn underneath the lifthill. Scaled 1/100 However for a good display size I would recommend at least scaling up to 200% (1/50) Wich is the size in the photos. This was created for resin printing. Naming conventions are in track direction. So viewing from the front of the model going down and left. Track piece 1 being the highest Support 1 being the tallest File explanations: Mix and match these fitting to your print volume and scale, or copy my list further down. Train: -Frontcar -Midcar -Endcar These are split up, as the train only has 3 distinct types of cars. The original train consists of 7 total cars so 1 front/endcar and 5 midcars. Track: -Hyperion_Track_v1 : The entire track, with supports as a single uncut file -Hyperion_Track_p1 : Part 1 of the cut track without the supports -Hyperion_Track_p2 : Part 2 of the cut track without the supports -Hyperion_Track_p3 : Part 3 of the cut track without the supports -Hyperion_Track_p3.1 Part 3 of the cut track cut again to fit my build volume sub part1 -Hyperion_Track_p3.2 Part 3 of the cut track cut again to fit my build volume sub part2 -Hyperion_Track_smol : A small extra piece of straight track fitting about 2 cars for display Supports: -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1 : Support 1 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup2 : Support 2 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup3 : Support 3 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup4 : Support 4 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.1 : Support 1 cut to fit my build volume p1 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.2 : Support 1 cut to fit my build volume p2 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.3 : Support 1 cut to fit my build volume p3 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.4 : Support 1 cut to fit my build volume p4 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.5 : Support 1 cut to fit my build volume p5 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup2.1 : Support 2 cut to fit my build volume p1 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup2.2 : Support 2 cut to fit my build volume p2 All the pre cut parts either have pins or holes in order to be plug and play. Depending on your printers tolerances you might need to sand these down, or fill in the gaps with some simple paper inserts. Then the whole model stands without glue. Alternatively you can cut the modell yourself and glue it together. Similarly the cars are made to friction fit over the rails and can be slid on to the desired position where they should hold without any further assitance. Again depending on tolerances and additional paint layers these might get tight, so be carefull not to rip of the wheel assemblies. All cut parts are made to fit into an Elegoo Saturn at 200% (1/50) scale. So for me my print list was: -Frontcar -5x Midcar -Endcar -Hyperion_Track_p1 -Hyperion_Track_p2 -Hyperion_Track_p3.1 -Hyperion_Track_p3.2 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.1 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.2 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.3 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.4 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup1.5 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup2.1 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup2.2 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup3 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup4 You can of course make different lenghts of tracks and trains according to your liking. For a smaller display modell of a 5 car train: -Frontcar -3x Midcar -Endcar -Hyperion_Track_p3 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup3 -Hyperion_Track_iso_sup4 The smalles assembly possible from this is the extra track piece with 2 cars of your choosing: -Frontcar -Midcar -Hyperion_Track_smol (This one will lay on its side slightly as it has no supports) Not that between Hyperion_Track_v1 and all other iterations the support height is slightly different. All other versions are the same and a bit closer to the ground/the supports are cut of at the bottom. Hyperion_Track_v1 still has the original scale height to ground level, where all the others are cut off to work better as a display modell. This was done by extracting the spline out of a custom no limits 2 coaster (basicially the path of the track) modelling the track around that, and finally modelling the train around the straight track piece. The no limits 2 exporter however seems to use different xyz coordinates than my cad software wich lead to the wonky base orientation of the files in case you were wondering. If you need any different or additional cuts/versions of this model feel free to comment about it or pm me. Post your makes! I want so see what you create with this. <3 This took a lot of time to make and figure out so if you use it feel free to leave a tip, or buy me a coffe over on https://ko-fi.com/tenebrisnoctus That helps me in making more of these.
