Hyperfrog Evolution
thingiverse
This is a custom conversion that repurposes the Leapfrog Creatr's robust hardware into a Hypercube Evolution (or as close as possible). The original Hypercube Evolution components have been modified to accommodate as much of the existing equipment on the Creatr as feasible. You can still utilize the stock heated bed, but the Z endstop obstructs the steppers. A new heated bed platform was built out of 2020 aluminum extrusions, mirroring the original Hypercube Evolution design. A 310x310 heated bed was also acquired. It has been discovered that the NEMA 23 motor on the Z axis requires excessive current, prompting the creation of an adapter plate to fit a NEMA 17 motor instead. An enclosure has been designed to accommodate either an SKR 1.3 or MKS Gen L board within the original mounting holes. However, it was necessary to drill additional holes in the bottom aluminum panel as they were not threaded all the way through. This custom enclosure is available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4312841. To-Do: Align the Y axis rod holes with the center of the extrusions. This adjustment will yield a few centimeters more travel along the X axis.
