Hypercube Z carriage Remix

Hypercube Z carriage Remix

thingiverse

UPDATE: To the request of one maker I created a 15 mm diameter support (left-right) and clamp (left-right), models #1-2. The Z carriage still bends easily even after its first remix. To gain more room under the bed, I extended the legs and moved the part over the profile. The bearings were initially too tight in my first attempt and didn't roll smoothly on the rods. I created a 16 mm gap (instead of an exact 15 mm fit) with this slope, placed two bearings on the rod, applied some hot glue to the gaps, and pressed the Z carriage firmly down. With this setup, there is absolutely no slope and the bearings are perfectly aligned on the rod without sticking. The bed is now significantly more rigid. I've also included the CAD file (Fusion 360). Print Settings: Printer: Hypercube Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 Infill: 50% Notes: I used PLA for this build, which is strong enough for its intended purpose...
