I made a Z-Carriage for my HyperCube 3D Printer. I had some nice name-brand quality LM10LUU bearings lying around, and wanted better rigidity by using 10mm Z-rods. This carriage design aligns easily, but I also made a printable tool to aid in mounting. My Z-Shaft Clamps are located at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2051280. Using four pieces of LM10LUU bearings and an ACME Nut Block for the lead screw is possible. Alternatively, you can use LM10UU bearings as well. The usable Z-height is 215mm with 400mm Z-extrusions. It measures 282.30mm wide! Here are my print settings: I used a TEVO Black Widow printer. Rafts and supports were not needed. The resolution was set to 200 microns, and the infill was at 30%. You need to be able to print parts that are at least 283mm wide. I printed it in ABS from 3DNet.no.
